Mrs. Texas United States Pageant 2006
You only live once…unless you believe in reincarnation…which I don’t, so when the opportunity to be in a beauty pageant was presented to me, I took it. I’ve been so fortunate with all of the things that I’ve accomplished in my life that this was one thing I hadn’t done. I was curious and said, “What they heck - why not.” I was crowned Mrs. North Texas United States 2006 after an interview competition, then competed against 15 beautiful ladies for the coveted title of Mrs. Texas United States. Mrs. Texas US would go on to Las Vegas and compete nationally.
The pageant was very exciting and fun and all of the ladies were so nice, which was not what I was expecting. In fact I still have great friendships with several of the ladies who live in the area and we go to lunch or meet for coffee to catch up every now and then.
Best part of the pageant: Meeting everyone and having life-long friendships with them
Worst part of the pageant: Bathing suit competition!! So embarrassing!
